How To Ride

Republic County Public Transportation provides the residents and guests of Republic County with safe, reliable, and affordable transportation throughout Republic County.

Buses run on “First Come, First Serve” basis with no special designations for priority trips such as medical or other appointments.

Call 785-527-0591 to request a ride Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

As always please follow the listed guidelines to allow us to provide the best service possible.
  • Schedule out-of-town rides 24 hours in advance
  • Call 1 to 7 days prior for all scheduled appointments – hospital, clinic, beautician
  • Inform driver of all stops when calling for initial pick-up, if you need to add a stop inform driver immediately; it is their discretion if they can add the stop and still maintain schedule
  • Any initial calls received after 4:00 p.m. will be scheduled for the following working day to ensure existing riders can reach their destination
  • Know the address of your destination
  • Inform driver if you need to cancel a ride – in Belleville at least 30 minutes, in Republic County at least 1 hour

Currently all fares are courtesy of donation by local non-profit organization.

This project is funded in part by KDOT Public Transit Program, FTA, and local agency.
